Now for the REAL food: For those who wish to prepare or meditate on the passage, we will be studying what it means to think on “things that are lovely”.

Reference text: “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things" - Philippians 4:8
Companion text: "How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty" - Psalm 84:1
Companion text: "How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty" - Psalm 84:1
If you have time to prepare, here are three thoughts to consider. We will discuss these questions:
1) The word that is used in Philippians 4:8 for "lovely" is only used here in this one occurrence in the whole New Testament. It is believed to be related to a type of friendship love. (Same root as Philadelphia - brotherly love). How has the love of other believers positively influenced you on your Christian journey?
2) Psalm 84:1 says "How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty". Why is it lovely? How do we experience that loveliness in our lives?
3) Loveliness is connected to beauty. Isaiah 61:3 speaks of God giving us beauty for ashes. What happens if we hold on to the ashes? How does holding on to thoughts that don't align with Philippians 4:8, thoughts that come from our old natures, hinder us?

Women's Bible Study and Fellowship at Boulevard Apartments Largo (Seminole Blvd just north of Ulmerton). Address is 2098 Seminole Boulevard. We meet the first and third Thursdays of every month at 7 PM.
Here's how to get in: As you drive in, look for a small yellow pole on the left (about 2 car lengths before the actual gates) and use the keypad to dial #307. That will call us and we will use our phone to acknowledge so you can get in.
After the gates you will see one lower building directly ahead of you. That is the clubhouse. When you are facing the clubhouse, if you look to the left you will see our building (#3). There is an elevator. We are on the 4th floor.
Email, text, or Facebook PM Linda Sargent for more information including apartment # and phone number.
