Women's Bible Study - Thursday, August 3

Women's Bible Study Thursday August 3 at Boulevard Apartments in Largo.  Bring a friend!

See below for info on how to find us.

For those who wish to prepare or meditate on the passage, we will be studying what it means to think on “things that are pure”.

Reference text:  “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things"

We look forward to seeing you and fellowshipping around the Word of God.

How to Find Us

Women's Bible Study and Fellowship at Boulevard Apartments Largo (Seminole Blvd just north of Ulmerton).  Address is 2098 Seminole Boulevard. We meet the first and third Thursdays of every month at 7 PM.

Here's how to get in:  As you drive in, look for a small yellow pole on the left (about 2 car lengths before the actual gates) and use the keypad to dial #307.  That will call us and we will use our phone to acknowledge so you can get in.

After the gates you will see one lower building directly ahead of you. That is the clubhouse.  When you are facing the clubhouse, if you look to the left you will see our building (#3).   There is an elevator.  We are on the 4th floor.

Email, text, or Facebook PM Linda Sargent for more information including apartment # and phone number.

A Good Week for Geezers

The 75 year old Joan Rivers was crowned the new Celebrity Apprentice on Sunday. On The Biggest Loser show, Helen (who was constantly bemoaning her age vs. the younger people she was competing with) won the whole enchilada. She had lost a total of 140 pounds. And Jerry, who is 64 years old, won the $100K prize for losing almost 48 percent of his body weight. Even the Aussie who was on the show from Australia's Biggest Loser was 57 (my age incidentally). Does this give me hope or add pressure? I'm not so sure. But I'm just happy to know that it's not all about the twenty or thirty somethings.

Notes from 7/20 Bible Study - Things That Are Just

Philippians 4: 8-9 Think on These Things - Things that are Just These are my unedited prep notes.  Apologies for the various fonts - copy/pasted scriptures from various sources 8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,  whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Intro & Quick review:         Thinking (logizomai) means to take an inventory of, count of, estimate, reckon.      We have discussed thinking on things that are true and things that are honorable and noble.         We have discussed why thinking these thoughts is key to fulfillment in our Christian...
