Greetings from our porch. I've been inspired by one of my favorite Facebook pages, The Porch Potatoes, to enjoy our porch, sit on our porch, and share photos of porches I've enjoyed over the last few years. I'm a porch sitter from way back. My mother used to love to porch sit. I can remember sitting out on the porch after supper and talking away. As my mom got older, those times became more precious. Now when I'm with my sister we enjoy a good porch sit. But I have little or no porch pictures from back in the day. That was when film was a precious commodity and unless you were a professional photographer you saved that roll of 12 or 24 for special moments. Little did I realize how precious those moments on the porch were.
I'm going to do a series of posts on porch sitting memories. Today I'm sharing one from last year. It was a beautiful fall day. My husband and I were out on the porch with nothing but an iPad and Pandora radio. A lively tune came on and Lloyd got up and went inside for a set of spoons. And that day he played the spoons a few times. It was better for me than Carnegie Hall.
