Everybody Should Be Listening

Everybody should be listening to Nobody's Listening.  You have probably heard about the healing benefits of laughter.  The Bible says a merry heart does good like medicine.  Heck, even Readers' Digest has a regular feature that refers to laughter as "The Best Medicine".
That being the case, get ready to feel really good.  Nobody's Listening is a virtual fountain of health.  You will get a kick out of the three guys who do this show.  They bounce off each others' personalities in a mix that is magic.  Whether it's James' cleverly told tales of daily life, Trevor's automobile angst, or John's sophomoric flatulence humor, you will find yourself chuckling and laughing and even guffawing.
After some time you will get to know the chat room (even if you don't actively participate in it).  You'll be saying things like "turned into a bat and flew away" and "redneck-edness" or asking the age-old question "Are you super squeaky?"    Instead of getting annoyed at the tweens, preteens, and early teens you will get a kick out of Middle School Drama and see the humor in their rants.  But mostly you will laugh and laugh and laugh.
In the interests of full disclosure, I must admit that I am also going to enter this in the podcast promotion contest.   But that doesn't mean it's still not a really good show where they tell real life stories and invite you to do the same.  Oh, and very important, this show as a "Clean rating".
So what are you waiting for?  Check it out.  Subscribe today via an RSS Feed or iTunes.
And if you see or hear of NLretentive, that would be me.
P.S.  For my less technical buds, you can listen to a podcast even without an MP3 device.  Contact me and I'll show you how.

Looking for Good Movie?

I don't go to too many movies.  It's a world I don't live in.  But I heard The Grace Card advertised on a local station and I think I'll check it out.  I love the title!  I love that it is about people who struggle, because we all do. And I especially love that it's about grace, God's grace.  Can't wait to see it Feb. 25.  Check the site to see if it's playing at a theater near you . Check out the trailer by clicking below and also the info on sending a Grace Card.

Well, I Never.......

I was shocked recently when a relative told me she never owned a pair of backless shoes.  I cracked up when I was in a ladies' room and overheard a young woman say "Personally, I've never  seen  a wrap-around skirt". And at the doctor's office the other day, a woman who had to be at least mid-twenties said she had pumped her own gas for the first time in her life just that day. So I asked some friends to send me one or more things that they have never done.  I wasn't looking for thrills, major achievements, or things we all dream about but never do.  I was looking for simple or everyday things that  we probably think most people have done. My personal contributions to this list are: I have never seen the movie "Titanic".   I have never been around a newborn. I've never ridden a motorcycle. Here are the responses I've received to date from others: Never used an ATM.  Never had an alcoholic drink (except communion wine)  Never been in a casino
