Rubber Ducky Joy of Joys

Wednesday, January 13 is Rubber Duck Day, the birthday of Ernie's Duck. Who doesn't love a rubber duck?

Guess what!?! Through the wonders of nonsensical online quizzes, I have discovered that I am a Carrier Duckie. Click the link below and check out what kind of Rubber Duck you are. Let me know.

See you round the tubby. And this Wednesday, 1/13, don't forget to Pause For the Splash.

You might be a parent, you might be a helpful person, or you might just be constantly schlepping other people around. Whatever the case, you are definitely haulin’ duck.

Looking for Good Movie?

I don't go to too many movies.  It's a world I don't live in.  But I heard The Grace Card advertised on a local station and I think I'll check it out.  I love the title!  I love that it is about people who struggle, because we all do. And I especially love that it's about grace, God's grace.  Can't wait to see it Feb. 25.  Check the site to see if it's playing at a theater near you . Check out the trailer by clicking below and also the info on sending a Grace Card.

Well, I Never.......

I was shocked recently when a relative told me she never owned a pair of backless shoes.  I cracked up when I was in a ladies' room and overheard a young woman say "Personally, I've never  seen  a wrap-around skirt". And at the doctor's office the other day, a woman who had to be at least mid-twenties said she had pumped her own gas for the first time in her life just that day. So I asked some friends to send me one or more things that they have never done.  I wasn't looking for thrills, major achievements, or things we all dream about but never do.  I was looking for simple or everyday things that  we probably think most people have done. My personal contributions to this list are: I have never seen the movie "Titanic".   I have never been around a newborn. I've never ridden a motorcycle. Here are the responses I've received to date from others: Never used an ATM.  Never had an alcoholic drink (except communion wine)  Never been in a casino
