Endless Enjoyment

I recently visited my sister and we took a trip to a quaint little town in the endless mountains of Pennsylvania. Some pics are below. It was a wonderful day with sunshine and laughter. I have many happy memories of time spent with Ginger that involve sunshine and laughter. We've had rain and tears too and no matter what, a day with Ginger is a day to cherish. We had such fun in the Endless Mountains this year that the enjoyment itself seemed endless.

Note the pictures of the Tunkhannock Viaduct near the end. Theodore Dreiser, in his book Hoosier Holiday. wrote, "a thing colossal and impressive - those arches! How really beautiful they were. How symmetrically planned! And the smaller arches above, how delicate and lightsomely graceful! it is odd to stand in the presence of so great a thing in the making and realize that you are looking at one of the true wonders of the world." Social Media Fast Day 1/2 I have been considering a social media fast.  Unbeknownst to me, someone I know was on a week long fast. She reported about how beneficial it was and I took that as a confirmation that this was the time for me. September 1 sneaked up on me and I had some commitments for posting some prayer requests, but once that was done, I uninstalled Facebook (my primary Social Media) form my phone. I can pretty well ignore Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn and the like but Facebook is my constant itch that I have to keep scratching. I came to the realization that I primarily use Facebook to feed my desire for approbation.  Don't we all want to be admired and respected?  Don't we often want to be right, to have a forum where others are agreeing with our brilliance?  LOL I'm guilty. I also realize the other downside of social media for me and that's all the political vitriol.  As much as I don't get sucked into it, as much as I scroll past...

Just a few more memories

There were a few photos that I didn't post on the entry about our trip to Boca Raton.  I'm sure I have a bunch more in various places. I figure we gained 7 pounds, 700 friends, 7,000 memories and 7,000,000 photographs. Video from Awards Night

Largo Women's Bible Study Dec. 6 Gathering This time of year so many are looking for gifts. Some are home made, some are expensive, some are great bargains. But we also celebrate the birth of Jesus and the greatest gift of all. And on Wed. Dec. 6 we will discuss the gift of forgiveness. And we'll party a bit and laugh and talk and network around the Word of God. How to find us: Women's Bible Study and Fellowship at Boulevard Apartments Largo (Seminole Blvd just north of Ulmerton). Address is 2098 Seminole Boulevard. Here's how to get in: As you drive in, look for a small yellow pole on the left (about 2 car lengths before the actual gates) and use the keypad to dial #307. That will call us and we will use our phone to acknowledge so you can get in. After the gates you will see one lower building directly ahead of you. That is the clubhouse. When you are facing the clubhouse, if you look to the left you will see our building (#3). There is an elevator. We are...
